IFS Training: Richard Schwartz‘s Internal Family Systems Institute provides training in IFS to practitioners through intensive programs called Level One, Level Two and Level Three. At any point a year or after taking a Level One training a practitioner can apply to become a Certified IFS Therapist with IFS-I by completing further learning, supervision and by having had their work reviewed and accepted by an approved IFS-I certifier. Derek Scott also provides training in IFS and anyone that has completed his Skills and Competencies Course is considered IFS Informed.
IFIO Training: Intimacy from The Inside Out (IFIO) is a form of couples therapy with its roots in IFS. Toni Herbine-Blank and the IFS-I provide a special Level Two (IFIO) that teaches this couples protocol. In addition Toni provides Advanced IFIO trainings.
Asim Ashraf is a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario, Canada and resides in Switzerland, operating mainly online and offering supports some in-persons supports in Zurich. I have been supporting clients for the past 20 years in various roles, and always towards well-being, growth and wholeness. Asim was born and raised by Indo-Muslim parents, who were displaced by immigration to the ancestral and unseated lands of many indigenous peoples.
Asim sees clients in Individuals, Partnerships or Couples, and soon-to-be Groups. I am trained in CBT and EFT, but I am loving the intersection of IFS and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP, trained in Level 1 Trauma Themes). I completed my Level 1 of IFS. I am recently focusing my learning and growing on Ancestral and Legacy Burdens through the consultations with Tamala Floyd, especially in group settings.
I am cis-gay queer man (use he/him pronouns) who loves biking, music, swimming the rivers and lakes that I am used to, and dancing to Tribal Indo-Afrobeat music. I love Sufi poetry. I speak multiple languages: English, French, Urdu, Hindi, and learning German, Spanish and Japanese.
