IFS Training: Richard Schwartz‘s Internal Family Systems Institute provides training in IFS to practitioners through intensive programs called Level One, Level Two and Level Three. At any point a year or after taking a Level One training a practitioner can apply to become a Certified IFS Therapist with IFS-I by completing further learning, supervision and by having had their work reviewed and accepted by an approved IFS-I certifier. Derek Scott also provides training in IFS and anyone that has completed his Skills and Competencies Course is considered IFS Informed.

IFIO Training: Intimacy from The Inside Out (IFIO) is a form of couples therapy with its roots in IFS. Toni Herbine-Blank and the IFS-I provide a special Level Two (IFIO) that teaches this couples protocol. In addition Toni provides Advanced IFIO trainings.

Description

My belief is that people come to therapy to have an experience that is markedly different from what they encounter in their daily life. My training and experience allow me to have the tools to provide an opportunity for that different experience, whether it is getting relief from anxiety, finding grace and gratitude in the midst of grief, or gaining clarity and calm in a situation of overwhelm and confusion. We work collaboratively and creatively to uncover the root causes of your distress or dissatisfaction, and address them without re-traumatization. Our work together is safe, deep, transformative, and often spontaneously joyous.
In the field of mental health for over 30 years, I focus on our innate resilience and neuroplasticity - our brain's incredible ability to heal and thrive regardless of what we've been through. I work with sexual trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, anger, substance use, self-harm, eating disorders, LGBTQ2S+ communities, and refugees/immigrants.
I use an array of psychotherapeutic modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic and mindfulness-based, as well as drawing on somatic approaches. I am also a Havening Techniques® Practitioner (www.Havening.org), a gentle trauma reprocessing technique, as well as a Certified Grief Educator.
