IFS Training: Richard Schwartz‘s Internal Family Systems Institute provides training in IFS to practitioners through intensive programs called Level One, Level Two and Level Three. At any point a year or after taking a Level One training a practitioner can apply to become a Certified IFS Therapist with IFS-I by completing further learning, supervision and by having had their work reviewed and accepted by an approved IFS-I certifier. Derek Scott also provides training in IFS and anyone that has completed his Skills and Competencies Course is considered IFS Informed.
IFIO Training: Intimacy from The Inside Out (IFIO) is a form of couples therapy with its roots in IFS. Toni Herbine-Blank and the IFS-I provide a special Level Two (IFIO) that teaches this couples protocol. In addition Toni provides Advanced IFIO trainings.
As a relational, attachment-focused, IFS therapist, I supervise a group of therapists using IFS at my group practice in Toronto. My team uses a relational and integrative approach catered to our client's needs. Our team works with children ages 4 and up, youth, adults, couples, ad families. We are neuro-affirming, LGBTQIA2S+ allied, and we embrace people's uniqueness and all are IFS-informed. We specialize in work with neurodivergent folks (Gifted, Talented, Intense-minded) aka those who identify as living with the complexities of Giftedness, ADHD, ASD, and Trauma (including C-PTSD).
As supervisor and clinician, I have over 30 years experience working with children, youth, families, and adults in a variety of settings. I identify as twice-exceptional (2e) with ADHD and giftedness and many on my team identify as neurodivergent as well. My post-secondary education includes a Master's in Social Work, a Degree in Child and Youth Care, and I am an RSW & Psychotherapist. I have completed a research internship at Sick Kids, professional training in the areas of Giftedness, ADHD, ASD1, infant and child development, Neurobiology, adverse childhood experiences, complex PTSD, Parenting, Anxiety, Depression and others, as well as my own extensive self-directed learning.
