IFS Training: Richard Schwartz’s Internal Family Systems Institute provides training in IFS to practitioners through intensive programs called Level One, Level Two and Level Three. At any point a year or after taking a Level One training a practitioner can apply to become a Certified IFS Therapist with IFS-I by completing further learning, supervision and by having had their work reviewed and accepted by an approved IFS-I certifier. Derek Scott also provides training in IFS and anyone that has completed his Skills and Competencies Course is considered IFS Informed.

IFIO Training: Intimacy from The Inside Out (IFIO) is a form of couples therapy with its roots in IFS. Toni Herbine-Blank and the IFS-I provide a special Level Two (IFIO) that teaches this couples protocol. In addition Toni provides Advanced IFIO trainings.

Description

I support adults and couples seeking deeper self-understanding, healing, authenticity, and more connected relationships with themselves and others. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling caught in patterns they do not fully understand, navigating anxiety, self-criticism, overwhelm, relationship challenges, trauma, life transitions, or a sense of disconnection from themselves or others.

My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and shaped by relational, somatic, and humanistic approaches to therapy. I have completed advanced Level 2 training in IFS and draw on both individual and Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO)-informed perspectives in my work with couples. My work tends to resonate with people seeking a deeper and more experiential therapeutic process, particularly those wanting to better understand protective patterns, relational dynamics, inner conflict, and the ways earlier experiences continue to shape present-day life.

Clients often describe me as calm, grounded, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. I aim to offer a space that feels collaborative, emotionally safe, and non-judgmental, where therapy moves at the pace of trust rather than pressure or agenda. For some, working and relating to a male therapist in this way can be incredibly meaningful. Alongside my clinical work, I bring over 10 years of experience working in universities as an educator, mediator, and coach, supporting people through personal, relational, and professional transitions.

I welcome conversations around identity, meaning, growth, attachment, substance use, psychedelic integration, and the influence of early relationships and life experiences. I invite you to connect for a complimentary consultation to explore whether working together feels like a good fit.
