IFS Training: Richard Schwartz‘s Internal Family Systems Institute provides training in IFS to practitioners through intensive programs called Level One, Level Two and Level Three. At any point a year or after taking a Level One training a practitioner can apply to become a Certified IFS Therapist with IFS-I by completing further learning, supervision and by having had their work reviewed and accepted by an approved IFS-I certifier. Derek Scott also provides training in IFS and anyone that has completed his Skills and Competencies Course is considered IFS Informed.

IFIO Training: Intimacy from The Inside Out (IFIO) is a form of couples therapy with its roots in IFS. Toni Herbine-Blank and the IFS-I provide a special Level Two (IFIO) that teaches this couples protocol. In addition Toni provides Advanced IFIO trainings.

Description

Stories have always intrigued me because they helped me to understand how other people think and see the world. My interest in stories led me to social work and therapy because I saw the power of personal narratives to limit or expand what my clients thought possible.

I am also a natural systems thinker, and I am always seeking out opportunities to learn more about how people organize their internal and external lives. My interest in systems led me to train as an IFS Therapist.

The focus of my practice is periods of transition. Transitions occur at all stages of life. They can include a new diagnosis, the loss of employment, the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a new sexual or gender identity, recovery after illness, or a faith crisis. Periods of transition can be intimidating and challenging, and I am here to support you as you write new stories to reframe your life.

My work with clients is a mix of narrative, somatic and IFS. I completed my IFS Level 1 training, and I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

I am interested in exploring with you how your past and current experiences impact you mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and how I can support your healing journey. If you’re wondering if I can help you, please contact me and we can determine together if I am the right fit for you.

Outside of my work you can find me browsing farmers’ markets near and far for new taste adventures, handwriting letters to family and friends, and dancing like nobody’s watching.
