IFS Training: Richard Schwartz‘s Internal Family Systems Institute provides training in IFS to practitioners through intensive programs called Level One, Level Two and Level Three. At any point a year or after taking a Level One training a practitioner can apply to become a Certified IFS Therapist with IFS-I by completing further learning, supervision and by having had their work reviewed and accepted by an approved IFS-I certifier. Derek Scott also provides training in IFS and anyone that has completed his Skills and Competencies Course is considered IFS Informed.

IFIO Training: Intimacy from The Inside Out (IFIO) is a form of couples therapy with its roots in IFS. Toni Herbine-Blank and the IFS-I provide a special Level Two (IFIO) that teaches this couples protocol. In addition Toni provides Advanced IFIO trainings.

Description

I believe that no matter where we start from, no matter the experiences that we’ve had in our childhood or in our relationships, or even the choices that we’ve made thus far, we can still have restorative experiences that can make us believe in transformation, healing, and change. I am a Psychotherapist and a Registered Social Worker (OCSWSSW), who is here to collaborate with you on your journey to understanding what is best, true, and most right for you by recognizing the inherent wisdom that you already have within yourself. I will honour you wherever you are at, and whenever you are ready, we can begin to venture outside of your comfort zone and move towards where you would like to be and the kind of life that you would like to have.

In our work together, I am committed to empowering you; introducing you to new ways of working, caring, and being; and offering you the tools needed in order to thrive successfully. While I am trained in a number of therapeutic modalities, I understand the importance of tailoring therapy to your needs. I will do my best to curate a therapeutic experience for you based on my trainings in: Attachment Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Somatic Attachment, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Outside of social work, I am an avid reader, a believer in kindness, an earnest daughter to immigrant parents, a writer-in-learning, as well as a doggo mom to an Australian Shepherd named Obi-Wan Kenobi (Obi, for short).

If you believe that I’m a good fit for you, do reach out through the contact us page!
