IFS Training: Richard Schwartz‘s Internal Family Systems Institute provides training in IFS to practitioners through intensive programs called Level One, Level Two and Level Three. At any point a year or after taking a Level One training a practitioner can apply to become a Certified IFS Therapist with IFS-I by completing further learning, supervision and by having had their work reviewed and accepted by an approved IFS-I certifier. Derek Scott also provides training in IFS and anyone that has completed his Skills and Competencies Course is considered IFS Informed.
IFIO Training: Intimacy from The Inside Out (IFIO) is a form of couples therapy with its roots in IFS. Toni Herbine-Blank and the IFS-I provide a special Level Two (IFIO) that teaches this couples protocol. In addition Toni provides Advanced IFIO trainings.
My name is Ted Leckie and I am a Registered Psychotherapist. My colleagues, clients and friends have at various times described me as empathetic, kind, gentle and insightful.
My primary approach is an IFS one. I have completed many levels of IFS training, beginning with IFS Skills and Competencies (https://ifsca.ca/courses/). Since then I have completed the IFS Level One training through the IFS Institute (IFS training and certification is done by the IFS Institute https://ifs-institute.com) and subsequently assisted in other trainings as a Program Assistant. In addition to these trainings I have completed a Level Two training for working with couples using IFIO which is what the IFS couples approach is called (https://ifs-institute.com/trainings/level-2). Prior to shifting to IFIO I was trained in EFT couples therapy which has many similarities to IFIO.
