IFS Training: Richard Schwartz‘s Internal Family Systems Institute provides training in IFS to practitioners through intensive programs called Level One, Level Two and Level Three. At any point a year or after taking a Level One training a practitioner can apply to become a Certified IFS Therapist with IFS-I by completing further learning, supervision and by having had their work reviewed and accepted by an approved IFS-I certifier. Derek Scott also provides training in IFS and anyone that has completed his Skills and Competencies Course is considered IFS Informed.
IFIO Training: Intimacy from The Inside Out (IFIO) is a form of couples therapy with its roots in IFS. Toni Herbine-Blank and the IFS-I provide a special Level Two (IFIO) that teaches this couples protocol. In addition Toni provides Advanced IFIO trainings.
Sometimes life seems difficult, and we may feel like nothing is working. We may feel lonely, isolated, filled with self-doubt, depressed, anxious, overwhelmed, hopeless, and helpless. We long for connections, while afraid of being hurt.
We hope that someone can listen to us and validate our emotions, suffering, and struggles; we hope to be seen, heard, and cared for. However, it can be scary to reach out for support, showing our vulnerabilities and not knowing how others will respond to them.
My approach is holistic, person-centred, compassion-focused, and strength-based. I provide spiritually integrated psychotherapy while applying techniques from Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness. I believe we are experts in our own lives, and we just need someone we can connect with and trust – to accompany us, in our journey of being aware of our inner power, reconnecting to it, and knowing how to communicate with it. I hope that together we can cultivate compassion, courage, curiosity, and wisdom from within.
